The Green Dragon Pub, Hobbiton, Matamata, New Zealand. Situated in Hobbiton – the artificial village, built for the Lord Of The Rings saga – the pub attracts visitors from all around the world. Although built for the hobbits, people can easily fit in: the pub is a standard size, but with some elements, that create an optical illusion of a smaller house.
The Green Dragon Pub was opened for public on December 1st, 2012. The tourists who come to Hobbiton now can fully experience the surreal atmosphere: real drinks are served in this pub, where Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin used to party. The owners also plan to open a hotel here in the near future.
